Vehicle finance
Cars, utes, vans and trucks, for your business or personal use. Fast approvals so you’re not waiting to drive away.
How we help
- Business vehicles: chattel mortgage, lease or hire purchase for work cars, utes, vans and trucks.
- Personal car loans: for your own car, new or used.
- Dealer or private sale: we can finance either.
- Pre-approval: know your budget before you negotiate.
Business or personal: what’s the difference?
If the vehicle is used mainly for your business, business finance such as a chattel mortgage may suit, and it’s assessed on your business and ABN. If it’s mainly for personal use, a consumer car loan is assessed on your personal income and expenses. Using the right type of loan matters for the lender and, for businesses, for tax, so check with your accountant.
What you’ll need
ID, income details (payslips, or for businesses your ABN and recent BAS or financials), and details of the vehicle once you’ve found it. We’ll tell you exactly what your lender needs.
Why use a broker for car finance?
Dealer finance is convenient, but it isn’t always the best value. We compare lenders for you, explain the total cost including fees and any balloon, and can arrange pre-approval so you negotiate like a cash buyer. Start here for personal or business vehicles, or see equipment finance for machinery and tools.

FAQ
Common questions
Can I get car finance for a private sale?
Yes, many lenders finance vehicles bought privately. The lender will usually check the vehicle’s details and that there’s no money owing on it before settlement.
Should I get pre-approval before I buy?
Pre-approval tells you your budget and lets you negotiate with confidence. It’s usually valid for a limited time, so it’s best to get it when you’re ready to shop.
What is a balloon payment on a car loan?
A balloon is a lump sum owed at the end of the loan. It lowers your regular repayments, but you’ll need to pay it, refinance it or trade in the car when the term ends.
Can I finance a truck or commercial vehicle?
Yes. We arrange finance for vans, light and heavy trucks and trailers for businesses, usually through a chattel mortgage, lease or hire purchase.
